WHO AM I?

I’m a techie-turned-writer.

It’s an understatement to say that the writing world has pulled me into it wholly and unhesitatingly. As the various tabs on this website menu indicate, I’m into different forms of writing, which keeps the SPARK alive.

After working as an IT professional with Intel and Goldman Sachs for twelve years, I switched to freelance journalism, writing human interest stories, parenting-related articles, book reviews, travelogues, and inspiring entrepreneurship stories.

A few years later, I became a technology content marketing writer. I landed here after some trial and error, but in hindsight, it seems like an obvious choice for me, given my tech background and interest in writing. This remains my core focus.

Short stories happened by chance, but they took me into a universe of imagination and wonder that surprised both the writer and reader in me! It’s been an exhilarating experience getting into the heads of characters I never knew lurked in my mind (or heart?).

My debut non-fiction book, The Write Way: A Practical Writing Guide for Beginners, is released recently and I feel immense pride in bringing this out for young adults who want to take a step along in their writing journey. This is my labor of love, admittedly the baby closest to my heart, maybe because it was the toughest to deliver. I never set out to be an author; I started to write this material and it eventually morphed into a book. My hope is for The Write Way to inspire young ones to pick up writing in some form—full-time, part-time, or even a hobby.

I think all of this comes from my need to express and tell a story – it doesn’t matter whether it’s my story, other’s stories, or a company’s product story. And I hope to experiment and explore, and continue to find delightful surprises.
